my name is George, born in the year 1988. I attended my schooling at Kilimani primary school in Kiambu, Ngenia secondary school. I never joined college because of lack of school fees despite passing well. I was being brought up by a guardian who was really struggling to educate me as well as bring up four of his biological sons.
After schooling therefore, i took a short course on driving. After completion, i was employed by a family friend to take charge of his lorry that was used to carry sand for sale. That is how i secured employment and started my business.
My hobby is playing soccer.
I do transport business and in these work i carry with a lorry sand from the river banks to construction sites on orders. These goods that we offer is very useful in that it plays a very vital role in assisting in the construction work. The demand for them is also high because with expansion taking place in kiambu county people are building house each and everyday. These therefore increase the demand.
i chose these business because after finishing school it was the only readily available opportunity for me to make a living from.
i use the profits that i make from these business to support my Gurdian in taking care of his sons since she is a widow and she is struggling so much to bring them up. I also make saving and do investments, i recently purchased a motorbike where i have employed someone to ride for me and get payments each day.
Thank you for these opportunity, i will use the loan given to buy a motorbike that goes for 600 us dollars. The 25 us dollars will be added to my savings of 575 us dollars and buy the bike.
I will benefit from the bike because i will be in a position to double my earning. Instead of getting 5 us dollars from one bike, i can now be making 10 us dollars. With that money, i can be able to live a better life.
