About Me

I am from Kenya and a large scale farmer in Nyandarua village.I was born and raised in Nakuru town, Nakuru county. My childhood life was not smooth, we suffered a lot and had very little to eat and pay our school fees.My parents were poor and therefore were unable to raise enough money to pay our school fees and feed us well.I did not attend my schooling well due to lack of school fees.I dropped out of my school and got married to a young man from Nyandarua county.I then started farming business.I used a loan from a women group to start my farming business.That was i started up my farming business courtesy of the women group loan.The most unique thing in my land is that we love farming as people of Nyandarua county.I would like all of my children to be successful in their future lives so that they be able to help me when i am aged. My hobby is preparing meals.

My Business

I have a huge track of land where i carry out my farming activities on.I do large scale maize farming and have many acres of maize plantation .So i just do large scale maize production and sell my maize produce to the cereals board of Kenya and also to other maize mills in Kenya.Maize is in a very high demand because it is the staple food of Kenya and Kenyans cannot do without maize on the table.Maize is also used for many more other purposes such as manufacturing of oil and many more others.All this make maize to have a very high demand in the market.I choose this business because i loved farming, farming is the backbone of our nation and i love doing it.My maize plantation does not require much capital.All it requires as capital is, seedlings, fertilizers and weeding services. The profits that i get from maize farming i use to re invest.

Loan Proposal

This loan is going to help me improve my farm and expand it.I am going to use this loan to purchase seeds and also to purchase fertilizers.Another thing that i am going to do is to purchase pesticides for my maize crops as well.Most often my maize crops are destroyed by pests which also infect them with diseases. this always increases my cost of production and decreases my income.I have been making a lot of losses due to these pests and maize diseases and this has negatively affected my farming business and therefore i am going to purchase this pesticides to help me clean up my farm and get rid of disease causing pests.I have the plan of also purchasing fertilizer.This will help boost the nutrient content of my farm and my soil will be much more fertile and it will allow maize crops to grow very fast and healthier and disease free.When i produce diseases free maize then they fetch good prices and boost my income.
