About Me

My name is mourone makokha from mombasa. I grew up in mombasa orphanage and i never got to know about my parents. We were educated at the institution up to secondary level. We were taught so many life skills at the institution that helps us. I was told that my parents drowned at the Indian ocean and died and so i have always wanted to be a life saver. I found a job at the beach where i work as a life saver. My hobby is swimming. I really love swimming and i was trained as a deep sea diver. Indian ocean is unique because it is the largest water body in Kenya.

My Business

I work as a life saver at the indian ocean where i have been working for the past five years. My job is in demand because we have many tourists who come to swim and have fun at the indian ocean so my job is to ensure that they are safe as they have fun. This service is important because it is about life and death. We aim to save as many lives as possible because life is a gift and it should not be taken from someone. I chose to work as a life saver because i value life a lot and i don't want people to die and leave children behind like i was left. I don't want people to go through the life that i went through. I am paid on a monthly basis, 50 us dollars. This is little to make me comfortable. I save quarter the money every month so that i could go to the national training. I use the rest to support my big family at the orphanage.

Loan Proposal

I would really appreciate if i am given 15 us dollars because it would help me to attend the national divers training that is held next month. I have been saving for it and now i am 10 us dollars short. I will use the remaining 5 us dollars for transport and the 1 us dollar for emergency needs. After the training, i will be promoted at work so i will be able to earn 70 us dollars. An increase of 20 us dollars is good because it will help me to repay the loan and also improve my living status.
