My name is zipporah. am a wife and a mother of two. growing up in a small village of meru county i always watched my dad go to his shop, i would accompany him during weekends and holidays. this is where my interest for business began. Have been wanting to raise capital to start a business but school fees for my kids have been taking all my money. my desire is to start a bookshop where I can be selling books and other stationery. In future God willing am planning to start a library back at home as a way of giving back to the community. Would appreciate if zidisha team can assist me do the same.
Am planning to set up a bookshop where I will be selling books and other stationery. The books include both text books and exercise books, rulers, pens and other stationery. This business will cater for all types of books starting from primary level. my source of income will be from loans from zidisha and also saved part of my savings for this
with the loan that i will be granted i will be able to add my savings that total to ksh 50,000 and be able to buy 3 large tents. this will go a way forward to increase my profit margin since if they will be lent out per weekend which is the time when most functions take place i will be able to get a profit of ksh10,000 with all the expenses catered for. with these savings i will then venture into buying instruments that accompany most events. and in so doing i will create more jobs for youths since i will need someone to help in the entertainment. thank you in advance.
