Desmond Okpoti is the name given to me at birth by my grandmother who wanted to name me after her late first child who died at birth because of the striking resemblance we had. I am 25 hears old and I hail from the Volta region of Ghana, born in the not so small town called Peki. A beatiful village filled with beautiful hospitable people. I am the 7th of 9 children and the only ond to go to senior high school. Unlike my other siblings i had the love for knowledge and to learn. And my parents seeing that made it their priorith to see me through school. I was only able to make it to the secondarg lecel because thats how far theh could support me too. My parents are farmers. They are annual farmers meaning they cultivate whichever crop is in season. Most of my older ziblings are married the younger ones help my parents on the farm. Growing up i had to do so many minial jobs to help provide the basic things i needed. I used to help on other farms to get some of the produce which i sell at the Peki Market. Live in Peki, though beautifhl wasnt easy. Several times and at times in consesion floods and pests have ruined my parents crops. Those times were the most difficult ever. We would go sometimes as much as 3 days without food except for fruits. Verh acidic fruits that cohld be picked up by the river side. I moved to accra shortly after completing senior high school in search of greener pastures. I moved in with an old neighbours son and he helped me establish my small business.
Currently i vend aitime vouchers a very booming business business ever since cell phones became a thing in Ghana. I do this under a big unbrella and a stool aboht 50 meters from my guardians house. I started the business almost 6 months after arriving in Accra. I came to doinh this after searching in vain for a job. I am thinking of expanding my bhsiness by getting more variety of stock.

If my loan is funded which i will be so much grateful and thankful for, i will use all the amount to purchase more airtime top up vouchers and add more variety to it. Thank you so much. And may God bless you all.
