My name is Dennis. I am a fisherman.I did my secondary school education at Annesa Boys in Kisumu, having done my primary school at Annesa primary. My dad was a fisherman and I used to escort him during his fishing sprees when I was a teen. It was an easy decision to bump into the fishing business when I finished secondary school since I was already conversant with the job.My siblings however continued with their higher education.I like spending my free time along the lake side enjoying nature.I would like my children to be self reliant persons when they grow up.
My business is that of catching and selling fish. I do fish in Lake victoria. The fish meets a ready market since the fish are on high demand.Fish are known to be highly proteinous and that is why they are on demand.I chose this kind of business since it is profitable and easy to run.The typical costs I incur is mainly buying and replacing torn fishing nets. The profits derived from the business is re invested in buying of nets and boats renovation.I however use a bigger percentage in covering for for my familys upkeep and cost of living.I also have a small savings project.
I will use the loan to buy new fishing nets. The fishing nets gets torn while fishing more so due to underwater weeds. When I do that,my fishing business will run smoothly and will not be inconvenienced.I will therefore be able to make more profits and raise my standards of living as well as pay the Zidisha loan on time.In future, I will also buy another fishing boats and expand my business. All I want is financial freedom.
