I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology (BSc.IT), and Diploma in Business Information System (DBIS) I Currently graduated with a Master Degree in Information Science at the University of Nairobi
I am an all rounder person and quick learner who is both self dependent and resourceful. I am open to changes and ready to take up the business to the next level.
I am confident that I have what it takes that due to my long term history of getting things done, combine with my interests and experience would make my business move to the next level with the support of the zidisha loan. I stay along Mombasa road just after mlolongo a few Kilometer from Kitengela. My resident its easily accessible. Dinns apartmet, next to Kenya Meat Commission 1kilometer from the main mombasa highway in Athi-River.
I currently run Zacafric computer systems firm in Langata shopping Centre Nairobi Kenya as my side business . I also do sell computers accessories which has really boosted my daily turnover. I now run several business amongst the three that i currently operate Dairy Farming being my latest at my rural home.
I am confident that what so ever comes am in a position to pay back my loan on time and even more earlier as i have just done on my 5th loan. I am capable of making sure that my business becomes success through out with the support from zidisha. I also need to venture into crop farming as my next target.
This is the last loan am going to pump into my daily farming. The other loan after this will be for crop farming and am sure crop farming goes hand in hand with dairy farming. I can use the waste products of my cows as manure to boost my crops and again us the crops to feed my cows.
Kenya has a population of about 29 million people, a land area of about 571 thousand square kilometers and a varied climate stretching from humid in the coastal areas to cool temperate in the interior highlands. Its land productivity potential also varies from high potential, constituting less than 20% of the total land area, to very low potential in dry areas in the north-eastern parts of the country.
Agriculture is the backbone of Kenya’s economy, contributing over 25% of the gross domestic product (GDP); it is the lifeline of about 80% of the country’s poor and contributes 70% of the national employment.
Dairy marketing in Kenya is mainly of liquid milk where over 80% is sold raw with the participation of itinerant milk traders (hawkers) who control about 28% of marketed milk . Dairy farming in Kisumu County. This has been my dream all along even before I moved to Nairobi for my further education. I have a very big piece of land around 3actre lying idle in my rural home and I have made up my mind since Zidisha team came to existence; my life has drastically change through this.
I am now looking forward to raise finance so that I can concentrate on keeping dairy for milk purposes to be precise there are lots of people doing this type of dairy farming but in a very little piece of land, now just imagine what could happen in a three acres piece of land. I majorly want to concentrate on milk production and crop growing. I will use the dairy manure on my farm to make good yield of crops from my cows hence reduction in expenses. People go longer distance to look for milk yet the production is so law at the end, I want to be on top of the game so that I provide milk both medium and low class at least to make everyone fell that they are considered as people in the society. Dairy is important in the livelihoods of many farm households in rural Kenya and in terms of generating incomes and employment, including off-farm employment.
With the help o veterinary officers from my area I know I would do wonders to both the old one’s and the young ones in my society. With my little saving I have I wish to purchase two milk cows which will cost $1000 each. This will come to $2000 for the two I also need to build a cattle shade on the same piece of land to give them protection and this would roughly cost another $1500 then there after I can concentrate to doing farm produce crops that can help my society.
Am sure with my other business in Nairobi town I will be in a position to pay back my loan without any delays.
