About Me

My names are Evans Achando, I joined my primary education at Nyamokenye Primary School until I completed my Primary education level. From there I proceeded to Sameta Boys High school until form 3 and proceeded to Kisii Progressive High school where I did my O level.

From O level I went to Animal Health Industrial Technical training Institute where I did my Certificate in Animal Health and Production Course.

I am a married man and blessed with two High school boys .

My Business

I started my business in 2002 after some savings from my Animal and extension Service provision (Treating animals and offering some extension services e.g Farm visits, farm training's at a fee) Am a registered member of Kenya Veterinary Board member currently holding a registration Number VTC00861 which regulates the veterinary services providers.

The agrovet service (selling Agro-Chemicals and animal drugs)are in great demand as to almost every households keep animals either at the backyard (chicken, goats, cows, and sheep's) or for commercial needs which needs to be attended to by a service provider which I do day to day all my years. This influenced me to choose this type of business and services.

The business is a worthy operational business, because it meets the daily needs of the family and some few workers (Watchaman, Counter Staff, and few workers who are on casual basis) The profit has been used to educatate the children and the expansion of the business. From this we have managed acquire a parcel of land where we have build our homestead.

I received the amount of KES.27531.
I have been able to buy the following items:
1.10*50 mls Bupervaquone 50mg @ KES.1200 = KES.12000.
2.45*100mls Penstrep @ KES.350 = KES.16800.
3.48*100mls Multivitamins @ KES.180 = KES.8640.
4.20*100mls Triatix @ KES.248 = KES.4960.
Total = KES.42400.
I thank the lender to have facilitated and funded my loan which i appreciate so much.

The loan helped to purchase some extra stock which included:
1. 48 X 100ml multivitamins @ 180 = kshs. 8640
2. 48 X 100 ml penstrep @ 350 = kshs 16800
3. 120 X 1 litre albendasole @ 200 =kshs 24000
4. 48 X 100 ml oxytetracline 10% @ 160 = kshs 7680
5. 25 X 20 mls buparvaquone 50 mg @ 800 = kshs 20000

These purchases made a significant change in business return ie increased my margin in terms of profit and the stock.

The business earnings increased due to extra stock that i had purchased by kshs. 3000 per day. The increased earnings have helped me to increase my stock which in the near future will my business margin.
This increased earnings helped me pay the school fees for my children who are in high school.

Am preparing to stock my agrovent with the feeders of which my customers have always asked for but had no capital to stock them.i WILL ALSO STOCK POULTRY DRUGS AS INDICATED IN THE LOAN PROPOSAL ATTACHED EARLIER,AS POUL TRIES IS AN EMERGING LIVESTOCK IN MY AREA OF COVERAGE.

I was able to increase my stoke value by engaging directly from the company (vet care company ltd,SYNOVET agrodealers among other companies) which helped me to increase my profit margin.

Dear Zidisha Lender,
I had applied for a loan but was informed that my account was involved in inaccurate information provision or other violation of membership contract. The mentor whom I was assigned was unreachable as she called when it was heavily raining and she was not clear for the two occasions she called. I would request for Zidisha team to review my application.
