I am a business lady who owns a fashion company and also do transcription online. I grew up in Eastlands Nairobi and hardly had enough even for school. By the grace of God I managed to pull through and even attained a diploma in business management.
Despite not getting a job I have not let that dumpen my spirit. I decided to start small and grow.
I am a mother of 3 kids between 7 and 2. They have big dreams which keep changing lol. Sometimes I hear my big son wants to be a truck driver,an engineer or a lawyer.
I love baking and I believe that someday I will bake for commercial purposes and to help the needy.
I convert speech to text for companies abroad mostly. I transcribe lectures, courtroom sessions, sermons and any speech needed to be converted to text as need arises. The market for this kind of service is inexhaustible given that the need to transcribe the above mentioned will always be there. I get paid for it through PayPal. I earn 20,000-30,000 per month from this. I also own a fashion boutique and sell clothes from mainly Nairobi and Uganda. You will agree with me that the fashion industry is dynamic and with new fashions coming up people will alway but clothes. The income from this job varies with season. But I get an average of 15,000 per month.
I have not been in this for long and I have been reinvesting the money back into the business. My spouse pays school fees for kids.
I intend to buy a new laptop to further my transcription business. I also intend to get a WiFi so I can have steady and dependable internet as opposed to the model I have.
