was born and raised in Ihindu village in the expansive Naivasha district. I had a chance to go to school up to form two but dropped out due to lack of fees. This was due to the inability of my parents to pay the school fees. After dropping out of secondary school, it occurred to me that life had to continue. I started looking for manual work from my immediate neighbours. I later moved to Naivasha town where I was employed to pick flowers in one of the flower firms. Business Description

I buy and resell solar lanterns and improved cookstoves. I started this business in 2010. This business is good due to less capital required to start it and less competition. There is also great demand for the products. My customers are individuals, households, institutions like schools, hospitals, hotels, among others.

I plan to employ my own distributors of solar lanterns and improved cookstoves in the whole of Rift Valley province of Kenya hence becoming the biggest distributor of the products in this area. I like educating my customers on the benefits of using renewable energy technology in our homes.

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan money to add my stock of solar products to resell to both existing and potential customers. I will buy 5 Firefly lanterns at Ksh.2,000 each. With this, I will be able to make a profit of about Ksh.2,500. I will then plough back this profit into the business. This loan will grow my business. With increased income, I will be able to take good care of my family and give them quality life.
