i am Caroline, i school in the early 80s though i never studied so much, i ended my education at form three after struggling so much with school fees. I was a student at Kamagut secondary school.
I am now a mother of three and a single mother, i lost mu husband last year through cancer. I started a business of planting sun flower three years ago and from the business i have bee able to support my kids in school and also my family.
Nakuru is a unique town and blessed with thousands of flamingos that attract tourists each and everyday.
i have three kids tow in secondary school and one in primary school.
I have planted sun flower and i sale them for production of cooking oil to big companies in Nauru town and Nairobi.
This goods are very useful because they play a very important role in the provision of cooking oil which is a very important commodity in our kitchens.
I chose this business because after loosing my husband who was running this business, i had no other option aside from continuing with his business.
I use what i make from the business to pay school fees for my kids, provide food to them and make to add savings to my bank account as i need to lease another share of land where i will extend my farming business
I will lease an extra piece of land so that i can extend my sun flower farming business. With 15 us dollars, i will add 75 more us dollars and acquire the land at a cost of 90 us dollars.
I will benefit because having extended my farming, my profits will also increase. I expect to increase mi income by 600 us dollars after harvesting
