About Me

I grew up in Nima 441, a zongo community in Accra. When I completed my senior high education, there was not funds for me to continue my education so I started learning dressmaking from my mum who was sewing by then. In order to support myself and my family I started sewing on my own. I have 2 children who wants to be a Doctor and a Pilot in future. I als teach young girls who have dropped out of school. I love fashion since my childhood that is why I am still sewing.

My Business

I have a shop where I sew and also have young women learning under me. I sew for women and young girls. Dressmaking is very useful and in my community and it's always on high demand. In a week, I earn about 600 cedis. The income from my work is used to reinvest in my business and also pay some bills.

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan, when given to buy a knitting machine for my shop since I will be needing it to make the finishing of my work better. The amout is $250. It's going to be of a much benefit since I can be knitting for fellow seamstress around my area for a fee and it will help increase my income.

    I used my loan to enroll in a fashion school which I am still attending but however because it's a year's programme there is the need for me to continue. I have seen a lot of improvements in my skills though and I am looking forward to completion my work. Thank you all will forever be grateful.
