Born in masimba village in kisii county from a very humble family, as a boy i didn't even know that school existed, because my family we were squatters we didn't have a place to to stay, we would camp along the streets with our parents, so the families priorities were to feed us , other things like clothes, education was not among the priority this lead to me starting school at the age of 9 years through the seventh day Adventist church, they gave me hope and a reason to believe that i can make it in life, during this time i used to hawk bananas after school to help supplement the family's income, i have been blessed to finish school, and i am a small business owner.I am a father of children and a husband to my lovely wife
My business involves growing banana and whole selling them in kangemi market, My wife focuses on growing the bananas i focus on selling them at the market, i also retail them in smaller quantities.I sell them as green bananas or sometime as ripe bananas depends on the season, this business has given me strength to send my children to school on time so that they dont have to be like me, we do bananas because of the region that we have leased a piece of land
I will use 5500 kshs to buy manure for top dressing the bananas, 2534 kshs will be used to buy a new bread of suckers for sweat bananas, this will grantee of a healthy harvest, and the new bread of suckers they will also supllement my current profits, given this scenario i know my four children will go to school everyday and they will be guaranteed of a better future, and i will proud to make sure that they have a better education than i did and i be able to reinvest into the business, as time goes by i will be able to seek to supply in the local supermarket.
