I went to school until the 3rd level class and after I obtained my “BFEM”,I took a class in sewing at the socio-cultural center of The Parcelles Assainies for 5 years. I got a diploma in sewing. I am part of a huge family. My father has two wives and my mother is the first wife. We are a family with 3 boys and 3 girls for my mother. We live in Dakar in the family home. Actually I work in a sewing and tailoring shop and I would like to start my own business
The studio that I would like to open will design and taylor traditional suits for woman and men. I need a sewing machine that cost 75000FCFA, 150000 FCFA for a cutting table, little fabrics and sewing accessories for about 100000FCFA and for my tailoring fabric, 750000FCFA. For the studio’s rent and the electricity bill for 3 months 150000FCFA. I will produce 3 suits per day at 15000 FCFA per unit.
I will buy 2 sewing machines with the Zidisha loan. I will also buy several accessories and another machine for 125000 FCFA . I would also buy a simple machine for 50000 FCFA and Fabrics for 75000FCFA. I do stylish suits that I am selling to my customers. Each month I will produce 20 units @ 15000 FCFA which will give me a net profit of 300000 FCFA. With the studio expenses I will still have 100000 FCFA which is enough to reimburse my Zidisha loan and having some income
