I am married with two children. I was born in a village and raised by my mom.my dad passed on when I was still young. I went to Rabi primary school and Rabi secondary school. After completing my secondary education I joined Busia Polytechnic where took certificate in general agriculture.
I got a job with an NGO as extension officer for 1 year and the contract ended due to lack of funds . i tried getting another job but was unlucky as I didn't find any. I started keeping poultry .I started with 10 chicken and two cocks and they have since increased to 150. I also do farming and always feed my chicken on kales as source of greens. My mixed farm give me decent living and I am happy to be a farmer.
my children are quite to young, they are aged three and one.
i love story telling, swimming, dancing singing and socializing. I am a good dancer and always entertain guests in occasions .
I am a mixed farmer and produce chicken for meat and eggs. I also have a farm where I grow vegetables for sale . the demand for indigenous chicken and vegetables is very high. I feed my chicken on greens and home formulated feeds and use the manure in my farm. Its some form of mutual relationship.
I choose farming because I had worked as an extension officer and had experiencing in livestock production and crop protection.
I spend $100 on feeds and immunization and $80 on pestcides for vegetables. my total revenues is $400 on average.
I use my profits in farm expansion ,taking care of my bills and taking care of my parents.
I wish to than zidisha for giving me these golden opportunity and than the lenders for the good work. I am in the process of constructing a poultry house to host 600 birds.I am requesting for $100 to help me buy 10 iron sheets required. I have already bought bricks and other materials required . I would really appreciate you for the loan.thank you in advance.
