About Me

My name is Cecilia. I was born in Muranga county - in central highlands of Kenya. This is an agriculturally rich region and most people are farmers. The main crop grown here is coffee and tea as well as other food crops such as beans and potatoes. I grew up helping my parents in the fields.

I went to primary and later joined secondary school. I later did a course in sales and marketing before relocating to Mombasa where I joined my aunt who lives there. While in Mombasa, I did a short course in computer applications and with the help of my aunt, started a small shop where I sell mobile phone accessories.

My Business

As mentioned above, my business deals with the sale of mobile phone accessories. I sell items such as phone chargers, earphones, glass protectors etc. These items are very popular with the masses since most people in Kenya own at least one mobile phone.

I get my stock from large stores which sell the items at a wholesale price and then retail them from my shop.

Most of my clients are young adults who keep changing their phones and their accessories. I like this business because it allows me to interact with all sorts of people.

Loan Proposal

I will use the money to re-stock my shop after doing good sales in the end of year season. I will use the money together with what I saved to almost double my stock of accessories such as batteries, covers, power banks etc.

I am confident that the sales will go up since I am now well known in my area of operation. The increased volumes will mean more profit hence a better life and future for me.
