About Me

My name is Richard Boateng; I come from Berekum, which is in the Brong-Ahafo Region of Ghana.

I started my primary education in Kumasi, the second capital city of Ghana. (Accra is the first capital city of Ghana.) From Kumasi, I moved back to the Brong-Ahafo Region and had my secondary education at Dormaa Senior High School. After graduating from high school, I went to Sunyani Polytechnic and earned a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Marketing.

Currently, in 2014 as I write this, I am pursuing a BSc Degree in Marketing at the University of Cape Coast in Ghana. I am a part-time student, attending on weekends only.

I like playing basketball, traveling, and reading.

I have a full-time job (detailed below).

My Business

I work full-time for DKT International, Ghana, which is a social-marketing NGO company. The organization provides education about, and low-cost access to, family-planning (contraceptive) and maternal products, at a subsidized rate from donor partners.

My job is working as a DKT Community Representative for the Brong-Ahafo Region.
The Brong-Ahafo Region is one of the largest of the ten regions of Ghana.
Currently, in 2014, it has a population of about 2 million.

One part of my job includes going out into the field and talking to people and educating about STIs/STDs, HIV-AIDS, sexual-reproductive health, and family planning.

Another part of my job is to sell DKT family-planning products within the Brong-Ahafo Region. (DKT manufactures the "Lydia" line of contraceptives, among others.)

DKT products are very effective, and because of mass advertising, many people now want (and need!) the products. However, due to a lack of funds, I cannot yet fully serve the entire Brong-Ahafo Region, which has been assigned to me. I only can take care of a small portion of it, so far.

Loan Proposal

I need significant financing to be able to buy more and sell more DKT products, to be able to serve the entire Brong-Ahafo Region.

I estimate that I would need about $3000-$5000 to take care of the entire region well.

Since I cannot jump the protocol at Zidisha, I have to start small and build my credit limit on this platform to a point at which I would be able to get large enough loans to be able to cater for my job, fully.

I would do all I can to repay quickly, in order to get to a high credit level at which I then could receive an amount of funding sufficient each time to serve my assigned region, entirely.

This loan would cater for as much of my assigned region as possible. The profit margins are high, and selling the products would help with the costs of my university education and generally would improve my standard of living.

I work with DKT International Ghana. DKT is a social marketing company into Reproductive Health, Prevention of HIV aids and Family Planning. Am the Regional Representative For Brong Ahafo Region. I go the the community and talk with them about STI's , HIV Aids and Family planning. The second part of my job is that, i sell DKT line of products, which is very fast moving products. The whole Brong Ahafo Region has been assigned to me. I need therefore huge finances to buy more and sell more,because of lack of funds, i cant reach my target area. The whole Region of Brong Ahafo which is almost 2,000,000 population is mine and the markets for the business is available for me. I need about 5000$ to expand my business and go across the whole Region Assigned to me for the start. Since i cannot jump the protocol here, i have to start and build my loan plan to a point i will get huge loans from you to fully cater for my job. I will now do all i can to repay quick, to get to higher level where i can attain much loan to satisfy my business fully.

Am the Regional Community Representative for for the above mention organisation. I sell DKT line of maternal pharmaceutical products and lydia line of contraceptives among others. Within the Brong Ahafo Region where ,the company has assigned me to work. The Brong Ahafo region is one of the largest regions of the ten regions in Ghana with about two million population. Am therefore tasked by my comapny to sell its pharmaceutical products within this region. DKT products are very effective and because of mass advertisement,many people now need the products,but due to lack of funds i cant satify this region well.I only take care of a small portion of the whole region. I may need about 3000$ to take care of the region well. But due to lack of funds,i cant go that far. I therefore need this loan to cater for the region and because of the high profits,associated with it. It will help me with my education at the university and improve upon my standard of living.
