My name is Albin Kiplngat Ngeno , now 26 years old and living with my family in Baraka village of Kericho county. I was born and grew up in Kericho county where I attended both primary and secondary schools.
I later went to Kabete Technical Institute to pursue a diploma course in general agriculture but have since been looking for employment.
Currently, i have a small retail shop at Baraka shopping centre where i spend most of my time.
My hobbies are watching movies and sports.
I own and ran a retail shop in Baraka shopping centre. I have been doing this for the past one year and has been a success so far.
I mainly sell fast moving domestic goods such as maize flour, sugar, rice, cooking oil, baking flour and detergents.
It is my only source of income I use most of the proceeds to pay my bills and and in supporting my siblings who are currently in secondary schools.
Since most of the proceeds often go to consumption, it has been hard to save for investments especially for improving the stock. The demand is good and to counter this and reduce costs, I would like to increase the size of my stock- which is appealing and cost effective.
I therefore plan to use the all the $100 in buying bulk goods and introduce new products to reduce costs and improve profits.
I will use the daily proceeds to service the loan as well as save for future projects.
