My name is Caren Cheptoo Langat. I am 30 years old- married with one kid. I am the first born in a family of four. I reside with my family at Mauche village in Nakuru county. I am a teacher - studied P1 course in Eduaction at Mosoriot Teachers College and currently working as a BOD teacher at Mauche primary school while awaiting confirmation into Teachers service commission.
To support the low income, my husband and I recently established a cereal shop at Mauche shopping centre and has been a success so far
My hobbies are watching TV, listening to music and adventure
I have a cereal shop at Mauche shopping centre about 35 Kilometres from Nakuru town in Nakuru county. My younger sister who stays with me assist me to ran it but I closely supervise where I can. I sell majorly cereals- maize, wheat, rice, millet and a few legumes such as dried beans.
I source most of these products from Busia and I normally make a margin of about 30% profit. My main customers are local hotels and residents of the shopping centre.
The business is good i would like to expand by adding stock.
I would like to expand my stock especially of maize, rice and wheat and also dried beans whose demand is high.
I therefore plan to use $70 on purchasing the additional stock and $30 on transport to and from Busia town where I source my goods on wholesale.
The increased stock will improve my net profits, help me pay the loan with ease and save more for future projects such as introduction of fresh produce within the same shop.
Thank you.
