My names are Josephine Mumbi Ngugi.I am a business lady and a mother of two children.I am married in a Agikuyu tradition marriage customary. My children are Precious Wangari and Branton Murigi and they do attend the school at a nearest academy for their primary education, having in class 3 and 6 respectively.
My husband is also a business man here in Nairobi and he works in transport industry which he own a Tuk-Tuk mini van for transporting people within the city.
To me I have been in agriculture industry for a three year to date.I have been working at the clock to make sure I satisfy my customers, who are mostly the learning institutions within the city.Thank you.
Agriculture is the core reliability to every growing nation. You have to eat so that you get strength to work. This has been a good phrase to me as it encourages me every now and then, thus making me to work harder to feed the people within and outside the city.
I have been in the agribusiness for the last three years and I can comfortably say that the business has good returns.I have leased a quarter piece of acre land in Nairobi at Ngong area. The climatic condition here is very much favorable and the soil is also fertile and good for the agriculture compared to some other areas in town.
I have been planting seasonal crops all along which they take minimal time to maturity. Most of my crops are for the less four months to harvest. At the moment I have planted cabbages, though they are almost to be harvested.I have erected a greenhouse which measuring 40 fts by 120 fts long.Since the demand of the goods is always higher on the dry seasons,I am therefore planning to start my greenhouse agriculture. The greenhouse takes minimal water during irrigation and also its manageable in terms of crop rotations and less time.
With the loan granted to me,I will buy the remaining watering pipes1/2 inch size, tomato and cabbage seeds, raw manure.Thank you in advance for making my dream realized.God bless Zidisha.
