About Me

My names are Joyce Wachira.I am twenty nine years of age and a nurse by profession. Iam currently working at Presbyterian church of east Africa Chogoria in Tharaka Nithi county, Eastern province, Kenya. Iam a degree holder from Kenyatta university with a bachelors of science in nursing. I have been selling home made cakes to my colleagues at my work place to help me raise some capital for my masters. My savings out of what i get is so little to be enough for my fees and that's why I am aiming to buy a modern oven to bake more and save more. My hobbies are cooking, visiting and making friends. During my free time i love watching movies.

My Business

i started my business back in April the year two thousand and thirteen, have been selling cakes to my colleagues and friends since then at my work place. my target is to raise money for my school fees for my master degree. my monthly income has been 160 US dollars out of the business.given this loan iwil buy a modern oven in order to make more cakes hence raise more money for school fee because this has been my dream to further my career. i take this opportunity to thanks zidisha family for the good work to help many meet there dreams and i too hope to be a beneficiary of your services. thank you, God bless

Loan Proposal

Given the Zidisha loan, i would like to attend a few baking classes at Emmah daniels institute to add my skills in cake decoration.I believe once i attend these classes this will sharpen my skills and I will be able to design better cakes.This is because I have realised there is alot of competition in the market and most customers need different cake designs that suit different events.Cake baking, design and decoration is all about applying the artistic skills.From my research I have realized its good to interact with some of the renown enterpreneurs in the cake industry.The owner of Emma Daniels is a renown chef in Kenya who is also a motivational speaker.I believe that the idea of attending a few baking classes in his institute will help me in terms of creativity.I believe that with more knowledge and skills, I will make a difference in my business.With time i will also be able to start my own baking school.The school fees in the institute is Ksh.10,900.I will also need some accommodation for those few days. Hence I believe that given this loan, this will life changing and will assist in making my dream come true.
