My names are stephen i hail from the rural parts of rift valley a town called Eldoret. My family we are 9, 5 boys and 4 girls, I went to Migingo primary school and Kapsabet boys high school were i completed my secondary level education, Am ambitious and business oriented after graduating from Moi university kit-ale campus i did venture into small business were i used to sell food stuffs in small quantity.
I later got employment at a government institution and my life started to improve.
Their is scarcity of resources in my country with few employed and many are left jobless and without a source of income.
My interest is in business. With help from my cousin whom did drop out of school due to financial problems i have been running the shop for 8 months now, It provides for my transport and daily expenses and pay my cousins salary as he is the shop keeper.
With a small food retail shop and employment in town. I opt to improve my shop by adding cereals which is in high demand, I also want to start doing online services during my free time and in he evenings after job so to boost my income.
I make a profit of 8,000 Kenya shillings a month from the shop after paying my cousin and restocking the shop.
I use this money together with my salary to cater for family upkeep and basic needs, cover for transportation cost and any raising need.
I opt to get connected to the internet on full time, this money i will use to do internet connection, Buying cables for 10 us dollars and paying monthly charges for 15 us dollars, This will benefit me in many ways, i will be able to do online jobs as well has take short online courses online under business management as a way to improve my business skills.
