On-time repayments
92 installments • 30%
I was born in 1987, 24 years ago in a village named Koitoror located in Eldoret town, Uasin Gishu County. I began primary school in1990 at Koitoror primary school and I later joined Kaptagat girls high school and continued my schooling until 2005 when I finished my secondary school education. I joined Graffins college to pursue my diploma in hotel management in 2006. I got a contract job in a local hotel in Nairobi in 2009. The contract ended last year 2013 and I decided to start my own business from my savings. I started keeping kienyeji chicken, a business I have been running unto date. I am married and blessed with one child. My husband works in Nairobi Embakasi estate and it is where we currently live. Embakasi estate is about 17km from Nairobi city.
About My Business
As I have already said, I started my poultry business one and half years ago in Nairobi, Embakasi estate. I love my business, and although there is a lot of competition, I keep my customers happy by giving them what they want. This business is good because there aren’t many people keeping kienjeji chicken and people like their meat because it is nutritious. The business helps us support our family financially.
My Loan Proposal
I need some loan to increase my stock of kienyeji chicken and also to buy an incubator to start hatching my chicks to increase my sales, as the demand as already gone up, and I don’t like disappointing my customers. I will appreciate so much if I get this loan.
I will repay my loan through my sales of eggs and chicken supply eggs daily to local kiosks within the estate a grate goes for 5 USD and I sell 3 grates every day that is like 15.0446 USD every day. in a week it is 105.312 USD .this will enable pay my weekly repayment of the loan. I sometimes find orders for chicken from the hotels in town and kilo goes for 3.34325 USD ,a times when the chicken feed well one chicken may go for 2kg. Sometimes i sell 5 to 7 chicken in a day.my customers like kienyeji eggs because they don’t have chemicals like the ones for grade,it is also very nutritious, although it is more expensive compare with the one for grade, the advantage with this kind of poultry farming is that you can keep the for both meat and eggs.it takes time to mature
i want to increase my poultry faming, and this time egg laying kienyeji chicken,i have notice that there is large demand of kienyeji eggs in town and i have already orders from loacal restaurants,i also want to build bigger house for the chicken and more fedding equipments
