I am a born again Christian, hardworking and ambitious, I was born in kitale Trans-nzoia District. I am the last born in a family of eight. I am a married blessed with one child. I completed my primary school education in 2002 at Gateway Primary in Bungoma. In the year 2003 I joined Lugulu Girls’ School where I later obtained my secondary school certificate in 2006. In 2008 I joined Maseno University for a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Graduated in 2012 with a second class honors lower division. After my internship I decided to stay at home and take care of my family and start a business that can keep me busy and the same time allow me time to take care of my young family. After a proper analysis on the problem that the ladies were going through to access the kind of goods and services that I was willing to offer. I started a khanga (leso) selling business where ladies and at times men place their orders as to how many pair they wanted and I supply them with the same and wait for payment at the end of the month. I started this business so as to increase my income generation and support my family. I use the part of the money generated to maintain my business started as well an expansion of the business, this involves enabling proper services by ensuring that I deliver all the ordered goods on time.
I largely rely on the profits generated from my business. My customers are mostly ladies and at times men but of a smaller percentage. I sell khangas to both individuals and business people. I operate in an area with less competition thus working to my advantage. Demand for my services is high given that the brand and quality of the fabrics is on the higher side. Due to efficient and effective service delivery this has made my business the most preferable to my customers by meeting their needs in a timely fashion. The business operates with one major risk which is bad debts where some customers move houses and do not make their residence known making collection of debts quite difficult, to ensure this does not occur I have made sure the most of my customers know each other and relate well. The business generates a minimum profit of three thousand, five hundred shillings weekly making my monthly profits to not less than ten thousand shillings a month, this puts me in a position of managing any loan that I may acquire for the expansion of my business.
I'm requesting for this loan so as to increase my stock to meet my current market demand, many young women and mothers whom I have attracted due to providing their khangas of choice and taste. adequate stock will improve on my profit generation as well saving on time and money. according to my current sales records and income this keeps me at a better place of making sure that the lenders money shall be repaid on time on thus of positive impact towards my business and also achieving my entrepreneurial goal.
