About Me

My is Benedict Ngandu and I come from a humble background. I live in Kitwe the Copperbelt of Zambia. My house is off freedom way road in Parklands township. I completed my grade 12 or secondary school at Ndeke secondary school and I did obtain a very good school certificate. Later on , I went to Zambia Institute of Public Administration where I studied business management and accounts.

I spent three years in college and I graduated with a Diploma. After I graduated I got an opportunity to work in the FMCG company, where I worked as an accounts assistant. I worked therefore for 2 years and 5 months and during my tenure of service I was awarded a certificate of recognition due to my hard work.

Am also involved in the distribution of grocery goods and drinks, I own a shop which is located at Chisokone Market I buy and distribute good on both wholesale and retail. All in all, my dream is to become a great entrepreneur in future.

My Business

I started my business while working at the FMCG company in Kitwe town, I raised some money through my savings account from my monthly wages. After raising good capital, I started distributing grocery goods in wholesale shops and that is where my second source of income originates. I own a wholesale shop and retail shop where I sale grocery goods on both wholesale and retail prices. The following are the goods I provide in my shops

1. cooking oil, 20l, 10l, 5l, 2.5l, 2litres and 750mls bottles of cooking oil
2. Butter cups in different packages
3. white spoon suqar, 20kg, 10kg, 5kg, 2kg and 1kg
4. Juice drinks, 5l, and 2litres
5. Soft drinks, 250mls and 300mls bottles
6. Eggs
7. Washing soaps in different packages
8. Bathing soaps in different ranges and prices
I can only mention a few other wise there are a lot more goods stocked up in the shop . These goods however are very much useful they are daily consumed in every household and sale fast . I choose fast consumable goods they are highly profitable and always in demand.
For me to purchase these goods I need approximately ZMW 25,000.00 to buy all the goods and I need ZMW 7000.00 for transportation and distribution of these goods.

Project Proposal

With the funds am requesting, I propose to purchase more grocery stock in my retail shop due to massive demand of consumable goods. Following are the goods needed to be stocked up in my shop.
1. cooking oil, 20l, 10l, 5l, 2.5l, 2litres and 750mls bottles of cooking oil
2. Butter cups in different packages
3. white spoon suqar, 20kg, 10kg, 5kg, 2kg and 1kg
4. Juice drinks, 5l, and 2litres
5. Soft drinks, 250mls and 300mls bottles
6. Eggs, jam, tooth paste, rice, tea leaves, coffee, tissue and mealie meal.
7. Washing soaps in different packages
8. Bathing soaps in different ranges and prices
The total budget needed to buy the mentioned stock is ZMW 20,000.00 and the projected profit take home per week is ZMW 5000.00.
