My name is Collins Dennis Odour, currently a residence of Nakuru but was born and raised in Kisumu. Went to school in lake primary, letter joined kisumu day high school and Afraha high school. I currently live in Bondeni Nakuru with my family. My wife works as a teacher in Nyanza Asembo Bay. I have three sons first in high school and second and last in lower primary. I am a theatre artist and a community development expert and the founder and executive director with Repacted kenya a youth organization funded by different local and international funders to do health communication and civic education. I also work as consultant with several multinational organizations.
I am in entertainment business doing theatre productions at the Nakuru Players Theatre. I also own sound system worth 1 million kenya shilling and own a deejay academy at the nakuru players theatre. I also do events management and products promotions for institutions and companies. I also do event management, wedding planning and management. Professionally I work as consultant for organizations training peer education and communication skills in marketing and health education. At the deejay academy I enrol more than 20 students per session which runs for three months. Each student pays 20 thousand kenya shillings per session.
Growing a business is one of the most challenging and interesting activity especially when the customer base is growing yet the business is not able to narrow the gap between demand and supply. I am in public address system business and it's a business that keeps on growing step by step business of the amount of capital required to acquire new equipments that enhance that the business, therefore buying one thing at a time depending on the demand created and challenges experienced is the way to go. I am currently operating with one speaker stand which affects the sound quality something which greatly affects my market segment. I therefore need to acquire three more speaker stands which will cost me a total of 10,000 Kenya shillings. With the three speaker stands my business will attract and at the same time retain a good customer base.
