About Me

My name is Rebecca Chebii. I am a farmer based in Nakuru County in Kenya. i was born and bred in Baringo County and later i moved to Nakuru County. I am a mother of five children grown up children who i have raised through farming.
Mainly Igrow vegetables and keep dairy cows which are in high demand here in Nakuru town. i also do value addition of the same.

My Business

My source of income is generated from the vegetables i grow and supply within Nakuru County and its environs. I also sell milk which has been largely affected by the recent drought though with the onset of the rainy season, i hope i will be able to supply my milk as usual.
Through irrigation, i have been able to maintain a steady supply of both the vegetables and the supply of milk.
I chose this kind of business because i saw it as being profitable. through this business i have been able to school my children and also meet my day to day expenses as well as build a home for myself.

Loan Proposal

I plan to introduce some Indian vegetables which are highly in demand here in Kenya. Not many people grow this kind of vegetables thus i see it as a great opportunity for me to invest in. Between buying the seeds and planting a nursery it will cost me a maximum of $50, another additional $50 will be used to facilitate the growth of these vegetables.
