About me
I was born in a small town called Nandi Hills in Kenya. I began my education at Cheplelachbei primary school and later joined Koilot Secondary School. After my secondary education which took five years due to fees challenges, I managed to join University of Eldoret where I pursued my Bachelors degree in Actuarial science. During my childhood, i never imagined i would join University since i had a notion that university belongs to the affluent. Moreover, I was sure that I would continue studying
mathematics and sciences anyway. After my secondary education, I spent most of my time teaching mathematics in a neighboring primary school as one of my hobby. Luckily, I was sponsored by a well-wisher to pursue my dream whereby he paid my tuition fee. I was so grateful for the guardian but I must admit life there was not a walk at the park as i had expected. Studying, paying rent and acquiring basic needs successfully integrated in me as part of my obvious problems. But I thank God because if it was not of his grace i would have gave up. I opted for transformation and bought a used computer from a friend after which the computer helped me a lot. I would type assignments for students then print elsewhere because I had no printer. It became my source of livelihood at the school. It helped me till I completed my four year study in the most captivating department of mathematics and computer Science.
My Business
I opened a shop which offers photocopying, typesetting, printing, scanning and online applications. This is a good paying job because i get an average of $100 a
week. I love offering computer services this has made me see the business as a good paying job but behind my mind i know I have not attained maximum productivity.
Business Proposal
I am setting up a cyber cafe business but lets call it ICT center because it will be a big cyber cafe. I am planning to install 10 computers at and estimated cost of 100 USD per setup. I am expecting one computer to be used by clients/Customers for as least 6 hours (360 minutes). At estimated cost of 1 KES per minute, i will earn KES 360.00 in each computer per day. This translates to (10 computers * KES 360) which equates to 36 USD per day. This will increase my income exponentially and I will be able to help my younger brothers and sisters and other needy people in my society live a better life.
Thank you all.
To finance upgrade my network speed from using a modem to purchasing 2 mega bites per second network.
