About Me

My name is Mark Karanja Ndungu . I come from Bahati, Nakuru County where I reside. Bahati is approximately 20 Km from Nakuru Town on your way to Nyahururu where you aright at Bahati Stage and take a murram road towards the market and reach the post office opposite the market ground and ask for Pst. Mark’s Home Plot no. 70 Bahati Centre. I am married and a father of 2 children. The 1ST born is in nursery school while the younger is at home with an age of 2 and half years.Am a Christian by faith ministering with Christ the Shepherd Believers Church where am a Pastor. The church also helps me financially as i also ministers to them to see my congregation well equipped with the word of God and giving them hope/counseling and seeing them reach to their peak in this life.Combined with the ministry work which i carry at area local i have no big congregation so i substitute the ministry work with some business of car hire/taxi services which i offer from my vehicle with this am able o sustain my family needs.I have set the Wednesday day as a day to see my members of the congregation. On this set date we share what we call a heart to heart issues addressing the problems that my members could be facing/Others do come for prayers while others come to in thankful offering on what God has done to them.

My Business

I own a car which I do car hire to people who do taxi business. In a day the car gives me Kshs. 3000. This translates to about Kshs, 20000 per month. The car goes for a service of about Kshs. 5000 in a month. I am also a preacher where I get paid Kshs. 5,000per month by the church. This gives a total monthly earning of 20,000. In one year I get approximately Kshs. 240,000.Due to congregation number we as a board have decided and not only through the board but in me i have felt to go with this amount to give the congregation more input to see it grow and bring more members .So we have decided as a team to do the ministry in reaching out (evangelism) believing that in future we will grow to a big church.Coming to the car which i have seen a good idea to substitute to enable me to meet the family needs together with mine i do hire the car to people who goes to holiday/visitations etc.On other occasions i do taxi services whereby am re known within the community due to my work of Pastoral to the locals. With this they have my confidence due to the friendly charges i offer to this service ,my faith also contributes with them having no fear of insecurity.I have also set a standard to the vehicle with this they see my vehicle as the better option. The other advantage that makes my business to peak well is that many people have not invested on this business with many of them crowding to motorbike as a means. With this on rainy season am left advantaged, others are not windy friendly and prefers closed means of transport bringing other advantage.
My current plan is to see that if offered some loan from an institute which is friendly from the savings i have i can add another car because i have surveyed the market and seen it can be a good business for one to invest on.
I have learned from a few people who have managed to get favor from your firm that you can be the firm which can assist me to see this dream come true.
Looking forward to hear from you
Thanks\
MARK KARANJA

    Dear Lenders,

my name is Roberta Zenere and I am a Kenya Country Liaison Intern at Zidisha.

In the past months, we did several attempts in contacting Mr Ndungu, either directly or through his referring official and volunteer mentor. Today, Mr Ndungu sent a SMS to us informing that his son has been sick in the past three months and was admitted at the hospital. As you can imagine, this sad event has generated some financial constraints for Mr Ndungu. Not only due to the need to pay medical expenses, but also because he had lees time to dedicate to his business. He is now committed in catching up with his loan repayment.

Please, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us. You can also keep in touch with Mr Ndungu's Volunteer Mentor, Joshua Mwangi, as indicated in the link above.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.

    Best regards,

    Roberta
