am younger entreprenuer not married, i attended upper hill high school located opposite kunste hotel visible from the high way. later joined vera beauty college in Nakuru town. i worked as a beautician for one year where i saved little money which i invested in cereal shop.
i attend Deliverance Church located at our locality, am a responsible young person in the community i engage in community building work such as environmental cleaning. at my free time i love traveling, reading and meeting new friends
i operate a cereal shop kind of a business located at mawanga centre, my business has been in operation for three years. i choose to operate this kind of business because i found it more profitable due to the growing demand of food stuff. mawanga center has a very high number of consumers due to high population as result of 2007 post election in kenya. i have been purchasing cereals during the harvesting season since they are very cheap at that time. i have lived in that area for a long time and i have maintained my large number of customers . every day i sell stock worthy kes 3500 and monthly approximately kes 90,000 i make a profit margin of kes 50,000. i have the ability to save bigger percentage of my returns since am still single. the major problem i face as younger entreprenuer is the high interest charged by the financial institution in kenya.
l will use 75 dollars to add rice stock,25 dollars for green peas,25 dollars for beans and the balance 25 dollars for an assortment of green vegetables and fruits. This will give yield good profit which will go towards restocking the food staff that will be out of stock.l will also use the remaining profit to order for commodities that are in demand such as maize, potatoes onions, tomatoes maize flour and carrots. With time l intend to expand my business and employ one or two people to assist.
The location of my business is in a very thickly populated area that has many refugees from Sudan who make the bulk of my customers so chances of growing big are open.
