My
names are Edith Njeri Kamiti from Bahiti, Nakuru Town. I was born and
raised up in bahati. Am born in a family of four my father and mother
are both farmers i do appreciate their effort in taking me through
education. In bahati whole grain to very well and my parents have been
growing maize to sell. I decided to start my business after seeing how
hardworking my parents are actually i see them as my role model. I
ventured in as a vendor i supply gazette to other vendors and i also
sell the 9in some offices.
I
stated selling gazette, magazine, biros, envelopes, sweets and other
small commodities way back in 2008. I got space near a bank to sell news
papers and through this i have expanded becauses i stated by selling
single newspapers to offices until i got my second loan where i stated
selling newspapers to vendor that is selling them in wholesale to other
sellers who later sell them as retailer. In this business there are
challenges since people like reading newspaper when there are
interesting stories going on in my country but when there none the sales
go down. Through this business i have been able to take my child to
school it helps me pay her school without struggling much. I want to
expand my business through zidisha loan i want to add up more stationery
to my business.
I thank zidisha team for your efforts and good work in uplifting people's lives. With this loan i will add more stock to my business in order to be able to supply newspapers to all my customers. Secondly i will introduces other items to my business e.g stationery . This will help me make more profit and i will be able to save. Thanks again for reaching this stage.
