I am a descendant of the African culture and have strong family ties to farming. I come from five generations of farmers, of which both my father and grandfather farmed commercially. At the age of 14, I moved to western region and carried on my tradition and grew food in containers.
I grow my beautiful garden without the use of harmful pesticides. In my own words, “If the worms get to the plants before I do, I just have to eat the rest.” Throughout the years, I have mastered the method of holistic techniques of gardening in organic soil. My goal is to teach people how to identify, grow and prepare healthy food, especially in at-risk communities. By doing so, people will be able to tackle conditions, deficiencies, and ailments that cause diseases.
I will use these funds to complete construction for my raised garden beds, on-site greenhouse, and storage containers. Being able to hire staff will allow me to invest in marketing and a consistent social media presence. Lastly, expanding staff allow me to streamline distribution and coordinate garden hands.
