Am Janet Asiyo borne in 1995, the fifth child in a family of eight children.
I went to Apokor Primary School in 1999 to join to standard one and later went to Mahiga Primary School and joined class two in 2007. My father died in 2002, we had no one to support our family starting from my elder sister to our last born. Only my elder brothers and elder sisters worked hard with my mother to support us.
I did my KCPE in 2013 and got Marks 243 in my KCPE but no one was able to support me to join Secondary school. I went and did hairdressing in private institution in Busia town where I do weaving/hairdressing as a profession.
Because i had no enough money to start my own salon, I just do it in my residential place along the veranda where i call it my work place and this is where I work and get my basic needs.
My business running a beauty shop(Salon) . Am happy to be a hairdresser it is the only thing I do for a leaving.
All I get is what helps me to pay rent, buy food and all other staffs that I need and the remaining money if I had so many customers I do save for my future.
Though there are so may challenges I face. One of it is I do it in a plot I leave a long the veranda I dont have enough money to pay rent for my business.
Secondly I dont have chairs for my customers, whereby I use Jeri cans for my customers to seat on. I love my customers because they are all understanding.
In my future am targeting to open up my business along the way so many customers will come to know my business
.
When I get this loan, it will help me improve my beauty shop in the following ways; buying of 6 plastic chairs for my customers estimated at 9 dollars per chair, 1 Blow Dry Machine worth $50 and 5 showls worth $35 Despite the fact that I still have deficit of about 39 dollars for improved weaves, am happy that through this loan I will be able to see some of the following as the returns the loan will create; improved sitting comfortable for my customers that will help me get a bigger and better market.
The returns will then help expand my beauty shop by renting a house along the way for my customers instead of doing inside the plot and later employ few to help me do it.
I should supported but because I can't afford single handedly to meet full financial requirements for my beauty shop for I don’t have enough finance to buy chairs, buy weaves, blow dry and money to partition my room.
Through your help, I’ll be able first to buy plastic chairs, and later do the rest for my business.
