I’m a 25-year old mother of one, a girl. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Economic and Resource Management from Egerton University. Currently, I’m planning to pursue a Master’s Degree on Fisheries Resource management. I’m a part-time consultant on the construction and innovation suspended fish ponds. Currently, I’m just an intern.
I was born and raised in Eastern Province. I passed and got to university. Amid all the struggles my parents went through, I managed to successfully graduate with a 2nd Honors Upper Class. I’ve learnt a lot and I’m well ready to utilize that knowledge to expand in my area of expertise.
I’m a loving and hardworking lady. I love socializing, watching novels and I’m an avid reader of informative business magazines. I also watch some documentaries during my free time. I want to raise a great family, and secure a bright future for my loving daughter.
I own two fish ponds in my residence. They’ve been providing a lot of fish which always have a ready market. My knowledge has contributed quite a lot towards the development of my fish ponds. I am planning on adding 2-3 more ponds, on top of the two that I already have. I also wish to start my small-scale business as a consultant specifically for farmers in my locale. This will be a humble start, but I’m sure that i will expand even more in years to come. The fish ponds have been helping me contribute a lot towards personal and family expenses. I plan on joining a Farmer’s Sacco that will help me save some earnings and even get more out of it. With the help of Zidisha, I will realize my dreams even bigger.
I earn an average 500 Kenyan Shillings a day. My average expenses towards the maintenance of these ponds estimate at around 5,000-7,000 Kenyan Shillings per month. I have projected this to rise to over 1,600 Kenyan shillings with the erection of two more ponds
With about 12,000 Kenyan Shillings, I will be able to construct two more ponds for an approximate 10,000 Kenyan Shillings. I will also use 2,000 Kenyan shillings to have my own startup as a personal consultant. I will purchase and design brochures to distribute in my locale. This way, I will be able to even share my knowledge with farmers all around me. I will successfully have the required deposit to join the Sacco. I’m thankful for this opportunity. I know there’s a lot more to get and I’m more than ready to develop my relationship with Zidisha. I will thus ensure to repay my loan in 2 months. Be blessed.
