About Me

I am 20 years old and was unfortunate to drop out of school in class eight just few months before sitting my final Kenya Certificate of Primary Education. Due to huge debt I owed the school a I was prohibited from sitting my final exams. After two years of job searching in vain, I started a garbage collection business in the slum where I am staying.

My Business

. Efficient garbage collection in the slum is a pipedream as people tasked with this responsibility care less about garbage collection. I started a garbage collection program where every Sunday morning we move from households to household picking their garbage and dumping them at a common point for a little sum of twenty shillings.

Loan Proposal

This has greatly helped to keep the slum clean and reduce spread of water-borne diseases. This initiative has enabled me to employ five youths who help me in garbage collection. We have been able to not only keep our environment clean but also to gainfully employ ourselves
