About Me

i was born in 1972 to Mr Samuelodoyo and mama Benta Akinyi Odoyo of Gwassi,Mwaggi Village Homa bay county.I am the first born in the family of nine children two of which are deceased.I attended makongeni Railways nursery school in 1978and preceeded to Makongeni old primary schoolin 1979-1986,when i did my kcpe i got 48 points out of 86.i therefore went on with educationMuslim Arya Secondary School for only one term in form one .i later joined Raruowa ,St Lucys girls .i did my kcse in 1990. i am sronge christian who believes in the second coming of Jesus Christ.i go to church in the seventh day adventist .I am married to Samuel Onyamul from Ugunja constituency ,Siaya county i am blessed with five chiildren 3 boys and one girl.i used to stay in Nakuru before relocating to ambira which is our rural area i used to sell doughnuts and tea by the road side in Nakuru for several yeasr and the main challenges i faced was not being able to pay for business permit for my business hence this made doing business so challanging.when i saw i could not manage it any more i decided to venture into fish monger which i also did for some years.

My Business

life in the urban area become so challenging especially after post election violence in Kenya in 2007 hence doing business was not easy due to insecurity and i didn't have any other source of income hence decided to relocate to the rural area in Ambira where am still there.Since i had children who were looking up on me i decided to indulge my self into farming.i had small saving hence i bought small piece of land and also i had a small portion of land which was left behind by my husbands father where we had already build a small house hence relocating was not so difficult. the first season i planted maize and millet and i thank God the outcome was not so bad. i was able to sell 2 sacks of maize and the rest i kept for family use since in Kenya our staple food is ugali. But the next season the outcome was not so good hence i wasn't able to sell, i just got 2 sacks of maize and i couldn't sell that since my family could stave if i did that.i wasn't able to get good income becouse i didn't use fertilizer and also i didn't spray the crops with pesticides to prevent them from diseases and those are some of the challenges that as a farmer i have to face at each planting season.if i get this money i will be able to buy enough fertilizer for my plantation and also pesticides for the outcome to become better. Through this i will be able to sell more and get finance to take my children to school.two of them are in secondary school which makes it so difficult to pay there fee especially here in the rural area.hop[e to hear from you soon and my the almighty God bless you for such a great organization meant to assist people.

Loan Proposal

Following the continual financial constraints on my part, and the financial obligations I had to meet every month, We engaged each other as a family on how to overcome this challenge accumulating debts by the end of every month, and the only way was to come up with ways on how to supplement my income. i started modern farming and now i am putting aside a considerable amount of money by denying ourselves many basic necessities for us to achieve our goal. This culture of savings went on for six months, And true to its inception goals and objectives, today we use the proceeds to help pay for school fees for our three children, paying rent, and supporting our mothers who are all widows with no one to rely upon except their God. On receiving my first loan, I want to train my guns to upgrading my stock, and bringing in more new consumable brands which are still out of my reach financially. I want to thank you in advance zidisha, may God bless you mightily as you put my financial request into your humble consideration. Many thanks to zidisha lenders, the loans you are giving are of great benefit to me. i will be expecting around 90 usd of which i am planning to pay my labourers during harvesting. transportation cost and storage. this will cost me approximateli 100 usd.
