About Me

My name is Shadrach Agyei. I was born and raised in the capital city of Ghana, Accra. I am an entrepreneur at heart and have spent most of my twenties starting new enterprises with friends and family, my last such endeavor being Quality Innovations Company Limited, at which I was the Operations and Sales manager for 6 years. I still have a business relationship with Quality Innovations but have now started my own new business, Famagyei.

My Business

Famagyei is a food startup. We currently offer food business solutions mostly to people who are new to the food business. I started the business last year, and although it started slowly, particularly this month the business is picking up momentum due to the purchase of new equipment for food production purposes i. e. an industrial size popper and flavoring tray. I still earn a monthly consulting fee from Quality Innovations and make money some months consulting for new foodpreneurs. Since July I've been making money from selling hand-packaged popcorn to a few clients and that's the part of the business I'm looking to expand with the help of Zidisha. The loans I raise will be used to purchase raw materials to make popcorn products and to hire additional help for sales and production purposes.

Project Proposal

I used the last loan I obtained through Zidisha to purchase better food packaging for my popcorn products to increase shelf life. For this loan I'd like to use it to improve the products branding to make it more appealing to customers and get into more shops, and to help me hire someone to assist me with production and sales.
