My name is Maryaman Traore. I was born in Nasso, a village 15 km south of Bobo Dioulasso. I was born in a polygamous household, and I am likewise one of my husband's multiple wives. Mother of three children, one girl and two boys, I work hard to support my family. Currently I have a 2-hectare plot of land in the village where I live, and it is thanks to this that I am able to support myself and my children.

Je me nomme Traore Maryaman, je suis née a Nasso, village située a 15 km de la ville de Bobo Dioulasso. Issue de famille polygame, je suis aussi marie sous le régime polygame. Heureusement, le Burkina Faso représente actuellement un énorme marché en la matière. Je cultive plusieurs variétés de plantes. Si pendant la saison pluvieuse l’entretien de ces plantes ne pose pas assez de problème, la saison sèche est un moment de dur labeur pour nous. Le vrai problème en saison sèche est la réduction du marché. Le jardinage est un métier comme un autre et permet à ces pratiquants de prendre en charge leur famille et de scolariser leurs enfants.
