My name is Faith nyambura maina, and I come from Nyeri County in Othaya sub-county. I am the last daughter in my family of 3 boys and 4 girls, the only siblings who are young than me 2 boys. I completed my secondary education in the year 2012 with a lot of challenges since we were raised from a very humble background. This same year at December I went to join my sister in Juja where she was working and staying, she decided to take me to a course and I enrolled for computer application course and completed the basic. I was lucky to be employed by the same employer who had employed my sister as financial record keeper and a banker, it during this time 2 years ago that I decided to start a food stuff business alongside with my employments. I am looking foward to raise some extra fund to expand my shop in order to eventually leave the formal employment and focus much my business which have a lot of potential since Juja is a city with high population. Having being raised by my parent in a very strong religious foundation, it has always been my effort to try and raise the success bar higher that all my peers in our society so that they can find someone to emulate. I belief through zidisha it will be a dream come true.
Thanks all, Thanks zidisha
I am currently employed with a salary of 10,000 KES per month, I also earn some extra income of 15000 KES courtesy of my food stuff business. I believe if I closely manage my business and inject approximately 10,000 to 20,000 KES, this business may be giving me at least 1000 KES dairy as income which translate to 30,000 KES per month, when I combine with my employer's salary the total earnings per month will be approximately 40,000 to 45,000 KES. This amount can sustain someone in city like Juja and be able to meet all the recurrent bills and obligations.
I am planning to set aside 1000 KES every week to service my loan and finish as soon as I can so as to get opportunity for future subsequent higher loan.
Thanks all, thanks zidisha.
I will take the 6000 I will get from the funding and add 4000 KES, this will addup to 10,000 KES which I will use to buy 5 dozen of plastic utencils @ 1000 per dozen so 5000 KES will go for that purchases. Then the other 5000 will go to the purchases of other shop items that will make my shop appear well stocked.
These plastics when sold in retail each dozen can create a profit of 1000 KES, so all the 5 dozen can generate another 5000KES and the market is readily available for such stuff in Juja actually it is a business niche.
