My name is Kenneth Jairus Oduor. I live in Nakuru Town, Kenya. Am married and I have two children. Two boys. One in class two and the other in baby class.
My education level is college diploma in Business Management. I was initially employed by a company called Kenya Literature Bureau, a company that deals with publishing and sales of text books for schools and other institutions. Unfortunately we in the marketing field were laid out because of the hard economic times the company was undergoing. I thereafter decided to venture into business of selling books and other educational materials like examination papers.
My hobbies include:
1) watching football
2) visiting children homes
3) undertaking social events in the community like clean ups, HIV/aids awareness, Anti-jiggers campaign
4) visiting persons with disabilities and homes for the elderly and helping them in their chores at home.
The name of my business is called Jaken Stationers. I sell books and other educational materials like examination papers. I started my business five years ago after being laid out from active employment. I sell school text books and other educational materials like examination papers and stationery in schools and other institutions of learning like colleges. However, there are various challenges that I encounter which include:
1)Funds to grow the business
2) Competition from well established businessmen
I will use this money to ensure that i visit schools that have been giving me business. I will talk to them and convince them to let me supply them with examination materials like examination papers. these examination papers will be supplied to the schools immediately since when schools open pupils usually sit examinations known as beginning of the year examinations.
