I am a Woman from Akome Gbogame in the Volta region of Ghana. My ambition is to become a recognized and certified herbalist. I stayed with my father who was a renowned rural herbalist from which I have studied the herbalist business. My father decided never to send me to any higher school since I will be married off to another man. But as for the boys, they were educated, and they would stay in the house and expand the family. So I attended school up to primary level. I always follow my father to the farm and helped him a lot in his farming while the boys are attending school. My father taught me many herbs and how to use them in the treatment of disease.
So after the death of my father, I became herbalist.
I become herbalist after my father's death since I been with him all these while, of which I have been preparing different kid of herbal medicines for sale. I now have over 5 years working experience as a rural herbalist of which its my great desire of become a certified and qualified herbalist. I want to expand my business by means of buying some tools and equipment and also rent a place to be used as Herbal Store. I therefore need assistance from Zidisha to raise money for this purpose.
