I am Everline Wanzala,I am the second born in a family of six children. I was born to Mr and Mrs Wanzala. I attended both primary and secondary school in the village and stepped in the city for the first time when I went for my certificate course in hair dressing and beauty at Ashley college.
I studied hair dressing and beauty and since I didnt have income or a relative to stay with in the city ,I had to travel back to the village. In the village life was tough as they was no job and a few jobs i got did not pay well. After 4 months of struggle I traveled back to the city and got a job as saloon assistant. I had to endure hard work with little daily wages for another six months. I joined revolving fund and we contributed $3 per week. When my turn come I got $300 that I used to buy a drier and bought an umbrella that I used as a saloon. I could serve low end clients in my makeshift saloon ,but atleast I used to make more money than under employment, I then moved to a small room that I rented to work in. I am still equipping my saloon to get to standard and become the best service provider in the region.
I do not have children at the moment but I am thinking of starting a family soon. I love children and would love to be a mother.
I like watching movies, chatting with friends and I hate gossip. I always like discussing development oriented topics with my peers.
I provided manicure, pedicure, facials, hair dressing and looking forward to introducing massage soon. I strategically placed my saloon at an accessible point that is convenient for the clients. I also go to the clients houses to work on them and that has given me a competitive edge against my competitors.
The demand for my service is hire as african women like make up and being smart. Most women prefer looking smart and would spend up there last coin on looks and my business is making the look good.
I spend average $140 on electricity, water and rent. my monthly revenue average is $350. I use my income to educate my siblings and reinvest in the business.
My room sometimes get very hot making my clients uncomfortable and I am appealing to you honourable lenders to pleas support me so that i can buy a fun to help in cooling the temperature and making my customers more comfortable.I will buy the fun at KES 6000 approximately $70 . The fun will help me retain clients and make them more comfortable hence increasing my clients base and revenues.Thank you in advance
