I started a fruit selling shop an year ago.I mainly deal with watermelons, pineapples, oranges, bananas, mangoes and avocadoes. Two options are usually available, one is to cut the fruits into pieces and second is to blend them to make fruit juice. My location is next to a local university which means my main market is the student population. This business has been a good venture since i make profits of upto forty percent.
One of the main challenge of the business is the low peak periods .Students basically have good cash flows in the first few weeks of the semester when they come from holidays. Business is usue booming during this time. The cash flow and consequently the business sales go down as the semester progresses.
