I am Bless Selassie Tsawodzi and I come from the Volta region of Ghana. I am a nurse by profession. I attended African advanced college I had completed the junior high school. From there I went to do nursing at Nyaniba nursing college. My hobby has always been singing and just love doing it. I decided to do nursing because I have a great passion of helping the sick recover and be in great health than before. This drew my interest into reading more about who a nurse is, ho to handle the sick and increase their hopes so that they will heal fast and how to naturally take care of the body after severe ailments to prevent re occurrence of the same disease. I have enjoyed being a nurse and helping others even though some patients are really stubborn and would not even follow their medications well.
I have been a nurse for the past 7 years and it has really been a great profession. Here I meet different characters and personalities. Some are obedient and great go be with, some are honest and very kind, some are arrogant and disturb a lot. With all these I still enjoyed taking care of them anyway. I also take care of some patients at their homes as a personal nurse and interacting with them at home seems more interesting with them. This is because at the hospital there are lots of people so they do not get enough time to converse more with the doctors about themselves and also even spend more time because of the long queue. As I worked on an injured man a year ago he gave me a business idea of how i could use my profession to attend to other patients at home at an lower cost. I listened to my patient and started this new approach and it was marvelous. I couldn't just imagine how the patients felt so comfortable with me coming to attend to them at home. They come to the hospital when they are sick and I help them at home to maintain their health for a fast healing at a cost.
I currently work at New Crystal Hospital as a nurse. Many individuals have shown great interest in this private home maintenance treatment I have started. Starting this was not on a silver platter but as I pushed harder through it became a success. I have got many clients now. Some of them are from Tema, Ashaiman, Nungua, Teshie, Afienya, Accra, and Afariwa. I have majority of the clients from Tema and Ashaiman. I need a loan of $150 to buy some more first aid materials. It is better to buy more of the materials than to buy them in bits because when I buy more I get them at the wholesale prices but then when I buy less, I get them at retail prices which also affects my profit margin. My client number base is still increasing and I need more stuffs like gloves, plasters, methylated spirits, gauze, vitamin c, avormin, triscillicate, gentian violet, and tissue papers. I know by the help of ZIDISHA and lenders I will be able to help these wonderful clients recover early from any ailment. Thank you.
