my names are rosemary maina i was born on 24th august 1972 . i joined mount saint marys primary school molo in 1980 to 1987 .then i was admitted to othaya girls for my secondary education in 1988 to 1991 i did not further my education .later in the year after staying home for a period of 9 months i joined my mother in a small business of selling green grocers that went down a year later due to pressure of school fees for my younger brothers.i chose to look for job so that i could assist in educating my brothers . i did not get a job immediately so i was working as a laborer for a period of 5 years in different farms to sustain me and family. In 1999 i got married and was blessed with two children ,mean while i was staying home as a house wife until 2008 when we separated with my husband. Later i joined women groups that assisted me with funds to start a small business of selling cloths in Gilgil town that has assisted me to educate my children and meet their needs to date. I love it with all my heart since it is the only source of my income.
I own a shop in Gilgil town . business name i s Phelisma boutique.i sell new clothes and shoes it has a capital of a bout 300 000 Kenya shillings.in a day i make sales of 10 000 Kenya shillings. the profit margin on this sales is Kenya shillings 1500 if converted monthly ,it is 45000 .i pay my house rent Kenya shillings 10 000.i have employed two ladies and i pay them 6000 each that is 12000 per month. my family spend 15000 Kenya shillings in house rent and other basic needs .the total expenses is Kenya shilling 35000.L save 3000 every month to cater for the education of my children am left with 7000 Kenya shillings that i re- stock back to the business to grow it further . i love this business and i will work hard to achieve more.thank you
After i receive the loan, basically i would finance my business with 3/4 of the capital offered. As am planning to offer a variety of products to customers, the loan will be used to purchase them to add more variety to satisfy customers need and selection.
The 42,000 i will buy both stock for men and women, they will include; clothes, shoes and make up beauty products for women. The remaining 14,000, i would partially decorate the entreprise since it needs some little upgrade.
This will give me an advantage over my fellow competitors since i can offer a variety of products and newer products hence get a number of satisfied customers .This will.increase my profit margin to finance my everyday expenses and finance my sons school fees and some my family.
Am projecting to have increased my profits monthly to 55000 which will enable me cater for progressing expense.
