About Me

I grew up as a total orphan who struggled through life to make it this far. I remember, while in high school, I used to take casual jobs to take care of my needs, including paying my school fees. Being third born and with the other two elder siblings were in school as well, there was no one else left to help. The church remained the only applicable place for solace in my life. He was so gracious that through my struggles, He let me progress: today I have two degrees and I am pushing on with my PhD.

I like business so much since it supplements quite a lot in my family and it enables me stretch out to meet other people's needs, including offering support to the church. I am employed by the government, but I use my extra time in farming and business. I currently keep 75 chickens (croilers) and now wish to do agribusiness. I want to take advantage of people harvesting and purchase maize at low prices now, and dispose next year when prices will have escalated. I have several bags of maize harvested from my farm and still drying. This maize will be stored for food and purchased more for sale.

I bought vegetable seeds for commercial basis: among them, sugar-loaf, carrots, onions, tomatoes, spinach, and pepper. I intend to take my farming to the next level, subject to finding.

My Business

My income comes from employment and business. I am using this income to take care of my children and my two foster children. I have plans of taking two children (orphans) in January 2018 to Shibanga Secondary School, a school in my village which I hope I can afford from the income gotten from the farming that I am doing. The projected fees for the two are Ksh. 48,000 (USD $462).

As a way of giving back to the community, I am also a strong member of my church (Anglican Church of Kenya - Butere Diocese) and a senior official; I serve as a Synod member and patron to the Board of Trustees, Shibanga parish. I will take part of my surplus to church for blessings and for the support of the people of God.

Loan Proposal

I will purchase beauty items for my shop to be able to do business during festive season.
Braids - 7,000 = 69 US DOLLARS
Nail polish - 1,900 =18 US DOLLARS
Weave -5,600 = 55 US DOLLARS
Human hair-7,500=73.5 US DOLLARS
TOTAL =215.5 US DOLLARS
This business will give me an approximated a net profit of Ksh. 6,150 per month.
My profits will increase by the net profit realized from this business.
This venture will help the community to be close to the products they require instead of traveling long distances in order to acquire them.

    It is very long since I took the last loan.What us very clear to me is that,the loan really assisted me because I was able to reinvest the amount by engaging into poultry farming.The poultry project did the very well despite the fact that Costa were very high.When COVID came in,the project failed due to lack of funds since I was badly sick after the first COVID vaccine .I intend to establish the project again.Thank you.

    Dear Friends (Lenders).
    My last loan was of great help since the money helped me in ploughing my land for commercial farming.
    Although the rains were not very promising but i managed to get some good harvest from it.I harvested 12 bags of maize.I have since stored my maize until next year March/April when the prices will be high for me to dispose.
    This being a festive season,i wish to switch my business and add beauty/cosmetic items to my shelves so that i can make a killing in terms of business.
    Once i receive the funding,i will purchase cosmetic items ranging from;
    Body oil
    Weaves
    Braids
    Nail polish
    Lip balm
    Human hair and other accessories
    The whole shopping will cost me Ksh.49,000 but if given Ksh.40,000 as loan by Zidisha then my existing business will raise me the deficit of Ksh.9,000.
    Thanks for your continued support.

    Greetings Team,
    I am happy with the way Zidisha is progressing!
    I have one concern:-The repayments on Mpesa take long before they are reflected on the system.
    Anyway,i hope that with time this will be corrected.
    Kind regards.

    The first loan that I acquired from Zidisha made a total turn around for my retail shop business since I initially used to lose customers due to lack of fridge to store perishables e.g. milk, ice creams but the business is now booming. In the same breath, I believe that, this new loan I am applying will take me through the farming exercise that I want to embark on. Thanks for your support,Zisha.
