I was born into a family of Farmers with both my parents into cocoa farming. After the completion of SHS, getting admission into Tertiary became tiresome after several attempts because I had some failure in some subjects. My father had left a vast land after his death so my mother convinced me to take the mantle of farming as it is the only to help me create wealth in future. Cocoa plantation has thrive in Ghana and the country highest exporter. Initially I didn't to continue to invest but after some time had a second thought. I started the farm with some personal savings and personal sacrifices and it is bright as at now.
Cocoa farming is predominant in Ghana looking at the export every year and employment to the citizens. It requires huge investments from land preparation to storage of cocoa beans. For every bag of cocoa beans it can cost more than $150. With one acre of land I can make six bags of cocoa beans which means it is a very good business to embark on. At the same time the cost involved is also huge. Now the trees are in good shape and starting to bear fruits, fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides are needed to make the great yields. The profits of this farm will help me attend training workshops and other seminars to help me improve more on the farm business.
This loan when approved will help me to purchase Fertilizers, fungicides to increase the yields and also prevent swollen shot diseases.
