I currently have 5 acres of maize in the field that are knee high and due for top dressing.
I would therefore use the $100 loan and alittle of my savings to purchase 4 bags of CAN fertilizer for application within the next 2 weeks. Our area is relatively fertile and we normally apply at a rate of 40 Kg per acre. Therefore my farm will need 200 Kg at KES 2500 ($2.8) per 50 Kg bag.
My vegetable farm will help me repay the loan while I wait on the maize
