About Me

I am Gidion Langat from Sitoito village of Molo division in Nakuru county. I am married to Sharon Langat and we are blessed with one daughter- Abigael aged 2 years.
Professionally I am a lab technician and studied laboratory science at Kabete Technical institute. I am also a farmer dealing with mostly crops.
My hobbies are watching sports and adventure.

My Business

While I am still looking for a formal employement, farming has been my source of livelihood. We plant vegetables and maize.
We plant maize once a year at March/April and vegetables throughout- in cycles to maintain the supplies.
We currently have maize in the field due for top dressing and would like the support of Zidisha in purchasing the recommended CAN fertiliezer soon.

Loan Proposal

We have 3 acres of maize due for top dressing this month. I therefore plan to use the $100 loan on purchasing the recommended CAN fertilizer. At the rate of 50kg per acre, I will need 150 kg at KES 2200 ($23) per 50kg bag.
will therefore top up about $10 to cover for both the membership fee and the fertilizer.
I intend to use my daily returns from vegetables sales to repay the loan weekly.
