About Me

my name is Emmanuel Mwaura a 30 year old trained engineer in electrics and electronics. im also a Part time pig farmer living in Nairobi Kenya. im also a peer educator and motivational speaker among the youth in and around my sphere of influence. im a self taught agronomist currently a specialist in pig rearing and breeding.

My Business

my primary source of income comes from my small pig farm with about 40 hogs comprising of six sows (mothers), and a boar (male). the farm also has thirty three gilts and baconers in various stages of production between two to eight months. the farm is located in a 50*100 ft piece of land with enough space for. growth in the near future. currently the farm has a labour force of one permanent employee and a casual labourer.

Loan Proposal

I intend to stock on feeds for my pigs to avoid shortages. A 50kg bag of pig feeds (sow and weaner) retails at 20 $ in average which adds up to 2100 ksh in local currency depending on the exchange rate.
The benefits accrued range from increased body mass for my pigs thus achieving market weight in due time
